Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate student trainers’ speaking ability improvement in terms of comprehensibility, fluency, use of expressions and vocabulary items after the English camp organization. The subjects of the study were 12 sixth grade students at Ban Nonkhun School, Nonkhun district, Sisaket, Thailand. The instruments used were the Service Learning English Camp course (SLEC), the pre-test and the post-test. The percentages and mean scores were used as the statistical values of the data analysis.
The results indicated that student trainers’ speaking ability after organizing the SLEC significantly improved in all the aspects concerned at P=0.00.
