Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the compatibility concerning the Express English 6 textbook by the Institute of Academic Development with the English Curriculum B.E.2544.
Data was collected by analyzing contents and learning tasks of all the eight units of the Express English 6 textbook with four English learning substances of the English Curriculum B.E. 2544.
From the study, the findings indicated that Express English 6 textbook was compatible with the English Curriculum B.E. 2544. The textbook was evaluated by four English learning substances. The outcomes revealed as the following: the total number of 85 activities or 40.28% for the learning substance 1 (language for communication), 18 activities or 8.53% for the learning substance 2 (language and culture), 74 activities or 35.07% for the learning substance 3 (language and other subject groups’ relationship) and 34 activities or 16.11% for the learning substance 4 (language, community and world relationship).
